Amy Buehler, LCSW is currently a Substance Use Disorder Program Manager overseeing CIS, Outpatient Day/Night, Lab Services, Promise North/South, Children/Youth and Young Adult Treatment. Amy attended the University of Utah and graduated with her Master’s of Social Work in 2005. Amy has worked in many roles from providing services for both mental health and substance use disorders within community behavioral health, and government oversight.
Amy focuses her work around being culturally sensitive, trauma informed and driven by the unique needs of each individual or family she works with. She has been trained in the following Evidence Based Practices: Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS), Trauma- Focused-Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Mindfulness, Feedback Informed Treatment, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Various Attachment Therapies, Early Assessment Supported Alliance (EASA) Early Intervention for Psychosis, ASIST Suicide Prevention and CAMS Suicide Intervention.
Amy enjoys time in the mountains with her dog, photography, painting and reading.
Amy Pollard, LCSW. Program Supervisor. Amy graduated with a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Utah. She has been working in the addictions field since 1998 and has worked at the Promise Program since 2005. Though she has worked in other areas of social work (foster kids, eating disorders, and mental health) she fell in love with the field of addiction treatment and has stayed working with this population for over two decades. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), Relapse prevention therapy, EMDR, Mindfulness-based approaches, Medicated Assisted therapy (MAT), Sand tray therapy; and has training to treat a variety of issues including eating disorders, trauma, domestic violence, grief, anxiety, depression, and other mental health disorders.
Outside of work, Amy has many interests that keeps her busy in her time off such as reading, art, road and mountain biking, hiking, scuba diving. Though her greatest passion is traveling and has traveled to many countries all over the world.
Ericka Hickman, LCSW. Ericka got her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Utah. She has worked in the field of addictions since 2007 and has worked at the Promise Program since 2010. Ericka has been employed in other social work occupations (group homes for disabled individuals, hospice, and youth treatment) since 1995. She has been trained in Motivational Interviewing, grief counseling, DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), Seeking Safety, EMDR, and sand tray therapy; and has experience treating diverse populations with several different mental health disorders including eating disorders, domestic violence, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and personality disorders.
Ericka enjoys spending time with family/friends, exploring new places, and pursuing her hobbies.
Brittney Lige, CMHC. Brittney graduated with a Master’s in Counseling from the Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in 2024. She has worked at the Promise Program since 2003 as a childcare specialist, providing childcare services and parenting skills to clients. She fell in love with the work of addiction and empowering women and wanted to expand her education to work with the women of Promise as a therapist. She is trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness-based approaches.
Brittney enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and pets. In her free time, she is involved with USA Boxing as a boxing coach and official and values anything related to the sport. She loves being outdoors and exploring new places. She is an avid reader and enjoys cooking, crocheting, biking, hiking, and music.
