So, it's as simple as that guys, do not fear and open your mouths and be a voice to help not only men, but also women, to help start breaking down the stigma that's been hanging around far too long.

I've shared only a handful of numerous stories and examples of how mental illness can effect individuals educationally, occupationally and socially. If I hadn't already explained the why I've decided over the years to be as open about it as possible, well here it is.

About 8 years or so ago, I was tired of hiding and pretending to be "ok" all the time, cause I wasn't. I was tired of the stigma attached to mental illness and thought "well, what can I do about it, how can little old me break down the stigma?"

I knew I couldn't break it down worldwide, nationwide, statewide, or even citywide; however, I could simply start talking about it when the opportunity presented itself.

What I found is that I became more of an asset and instrument to help and educate others about mental illness versus feeling judged so to speak. So, its as simple as that, guys, do not fear and open your mouths and be a voice to help not only men, but also women, to help start breaking down the stigma that's been hanging around far too long!

Thank you to everyone that helped with our WMH Movember 2019! A special thanks to our eight Movember Ambassadors who agreed to grow a mustache and take every opportunity to talk about the importance of Men's MentalĀ  Health during the month.
