Wasatch County Organizations focusing on Prevention:

Youth Driven Initiatives:

Governing Youth Council Club

A club in the schools where youth are encouraged to be advocates for public health and change in the community, addressing issues such as: substance use, mental health, injury prevention (like safe driving), etc… Youth go to the State Capitol during the Legislative Session to meet their representatives every year and hold Legislative Dinners so they can advocate for prevention policy. Youth lead activities in the schools to educate their peers.


Wasatch Mental Wellness Coalition

The Wasatch Mental Wellness Coalition is dedicated to raising awareness, educating, supporting, and advocating for mental health in the Wasatch community.

Wasatch Latino Coalition

The coalition’s mission is to “connect families with resources and advocate for a greater impact through education, collaboration, and the engagement of the Latino community,” and indeed, it envisions a future of an empowered, integrated, and more inclusive life for everyone in Wasatch County.
